UFS has been notified that the following pharmacies have been declared Tier 2 exposure sites:

  • The 24 hour Sturt Street UFS Pharmacy at 717 Sturt Street, Ballarat. A COVID positive case visited the pharmacy on Friday 10 September between 2pm and 3pm.   
  • The Delacombe UFS Pharmacy at 830 Latrobe Street, Delacombe. A COVID positive case visited the pharmacy on Wednesday 8 September between 3:45pm to 4:25pm (Please note: the Department of Health’s original advice of exposure time  of 4.15pm to 5.10pm has now been revised to 3.45pm to 4.25pm).
  • The Sebastopol UFS Pharmacy at 56 Albert Street, Sebastopol. A COVID positive case visited the pharmacy on Monday 13 September between 3.45pm and 4.50pm.

Anyone who has visited a Tier 2 exposure site at the times listed must urgently get tested for COVID-19 and isolate until they receive a negative result. Some people may be identified as primary close contacts by the Public Health Unit (Tier 1) and be required to quarantine for 14 days. The department will contact these individuals directly to provide this advice.

We are working with the Department of Health and taking their advice and direction, and our COVID exposure protocol was enacted immediately to enable us to continue offering critical healthcare services.

The 24 hour Sturt Street UFS Pharmacy was closed on Thursday afternoon (16 September) for cleaning as per advice from the Department of Health. The pharmacy re-opened  as of 5pm Thursday (16 September).

The Delacombe UFS Pharmacy has been cleaned as per advice from the Department of Health and remains open.

The Sebastopol UFS Pharmacy has been cleaned as per advice from the Department of Health and will open as normal 8am Friday (17 September).
