Equipment Hire in 5 Easy Steps

1. What equipment do you require?

Determining what you need may not be as easy as it sounds. There are many alternatives when it comes to healthcare equipment, so be sure to check with your medical practitioner or spend some time discussing your requirements with our staff who can make a recommendation.

2. Instructions on how to use it?

Our staff will provide you with instructions on how to use the healthcare equipment, particularly in regard to height adjustment to make sure it’s right for the size of your body. If you have any further questions, call us from home and we’ll talk you through the issue.

3. Security deposit and advanced payments

To begin your hire agreement, we need some idea of how long you may require the equipment. This date then becomes the return date for your hire equipment and you will be required to make an advance payment to this date.

You are also required to pay a security deposit as security on the equipment (which is refunded when the equipment is returned in good condition). Your security deposit can be paid by cash or credit card and will be refunded the same way.
When you return the item, we will calculate the balance of your weekly hire transaction. If you return the item earlier than the date paid to, we will refund the remaining amount (on a weekly basis only) and your deposit.

4. Extending Hire Periods

We don’t mind at all if you need to extend your hire period. We do, however, ask that you notify us of this and that your payments are kept in advance. Please ensure that when you extend your hire period, that a payment is made to the extended return date.

Make sure you return the hire equipment when no longer required, as charges apply until the item has been returned.

5. Returning Hire Equipment

Simple. Return the hire equipment to the UFS Pharmacy you hired it from. If there has been any damage or faults during the period please notify our staff. Please ensure the equipment is clean and in good condition at the time of return so we can finalise your hire agreement and refund your deposit.
